OKSCCA Board/Membership Meeting Minutes
September 9, 2013
Board members present were Larry Bower, Gary Brown, Al Donovan, Jeff Norris, Patty Topp, and Michelle Seelig. Scott Bauman, SOLO co-chair, was also present.
1. Treasurer’s report:
Patty reported $4959.61 in the checking account. Savings account balance is $6672.68.
Made $249.41 on SOLO event #6.
Jeff motioned to accept treasurer’s report, Al seconded; motion carried.
2. Secretary’s report:
171 members as of August.
Jeff motioned to accept July meeting minutes, Patty seconded; motion carried.
3. Club racing report:
Runoffs start September 16. We have two members going.
Jeff motioned to accept race report, Patty seconded; motion carried.
4. SOLO report:
Event #6 is 8/25 had 78 entries.
Event #7 is this Sunday, 9/15.
Announcement was made about safety steward class. John has the names.
Scott made magnets for $0.62 each. Gary motioned to approve $140 for magnets, Jeff seconded; motion carried.
Michelle motioned to accept report, Gary seconded; motion carried.
5. Old business:
Planning banquet at Cattlemen’s for January 25, 2014.
Bob forwarded information on Tire Rack Street Survival® Teen Driving School. We will table further discussion until Bob is present.
Gary motioned to accept old business, Michelle seconded; motion carried.
6. New business:
Discussion on Gasket Gazette content:
- Michelle will add link to the website when she sends email blasts.
- Steve E. will update officer contact information.
- Michelle will send Steve E. the bylaws to post.
- Rocky has SOLO pictures to post – board stated not to include license tags or driver names.
